After a long and tiring season, SPAL is now safe in the top flight of Italian football for next year – they are already looking towards the 2019/2020 Serie A season. Within the club, there are many stars and valuable pieces, one of which Lazio have been after for the past year. On top of their wish list, this is Manuel Lazzari – the 25-year-old Italian international capable of playing as a right-back or right wing-back. To speak of Lazzari – labeling him as one of the best players on the squad – was the president of the SPAL, Walter Mattioli, to Sky Sport.
“Lazzari has been with me for 7 years, he’s part of our family and I don’t know if he’ll be leaving in the summer… However, if some great club wants to take him, then we will talk about it: it is not right to stop his professional growth”.
Lazzari has made 30 appearances for Gli Estensi this season in the Serie A TIM. Within this span of matches, he has provided nine assists and received seven yellow cards.
