Amongst the numerous footballers on the list of Lazio sporting director, Igli Tare, is Macedonian midfielder Eljif Elmas. Someone who has been of interest to the Biancocelesti since January, the 1999 born player is currently owned – and is playing for – Fenerbahce in the Turkish Super Lig. However, as reported in recent weeks, there is an immense amount of attention on him: Inter from the Serie A, Zenit from the Russian Premier League, Atletico Madrid from La Liga, and Tottenham from the Premier League. Additionally from the top flight of Italian football, as reported by the Turkish press, Fiorentina have entered the race to sign the player. Behind the scenes, La Viola are said to have made an offer close to 15 million euros for Elmas, however, this bid was rejected by Fenerbahce – they desire a minimum of 20 million euros plus a percentage on a future resale. Elmas is a real jewel on the market and the Istanbul club wants to take advantage of any auctions that could happen in the months to come.
