The latest name linked to Serie A side Lazio is Nahitan Nandez. 23 years of age, Nandez is a Uruguayan International who has spent his entire career in the top flight of Argentine football; the Primera División. Firstly playing with CA Peñarol, he made a switch to Boca Juniors in the summer of 2017 for a fee of around €3.5 million. With quick feet and excellent dribbling, Nandez was born as a trequartista but, with time, he has made himself known as a defensive midfielder. A subject of desire from half of Europe, acquiring Nandez will be no easy task. The fastest club to knock on the door of the Buenos Aires club was Freiburg, but, as reported by calciomercato.it, the German clubs offer of €11 million for 50% of its card was not enough, as President Daniel Angelici’s request is at least €20 million for 70% of the player. Among others, Cagliari had tried to sign Nandez last summer (but were unable to find success), while Newcastle and Leeds from England remain interested. Even rivals Roma can enter the race, as former Giallorossi player Nicolás Burdisso is the current sporting director of Boca Juniors, and the Argentine club have shown strong interest to sign Diego Perotti.
