In Matchday 37 of the Serie A TIM, Lazio hosts Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico.
Eighth against fourteenth, the Biancocelesti look set to miss the Champions League once again – being behind Torino, Roma, Milan, Inter, Atalanta, Napoli, and Juventus – while Bologna are fighting for survival in the Serie A TIM, as they sit just three points above the relegation zone.
After securing their seventh Coppa Italia against Atalanta last week, Simone Inzaghi looks set to make several changes to his preferred 3-5-1-1- starting lineup. This is a result of the automatic qualification for next years Europa League and Supercoppa.
Starting in goal, Guido Guerrieri has been confirmed to replace Thomas Strakosha. The 23-year-old Italian has grown up in the Primavera ranks of the Biancocelesti and after receiving his first call-up to the senior team almost seven years ago, he will finally earn his debut with Le Aquile.
The defense will be composed of Wallace, Luiz Felipe, and Francesco Acerbi. After a shocker of a match against Atalanta in the Serie A TIM, many are surprised with this selection; many thought Wallace had seen the pitch in a blue and white kit for the last time. However, this looks to be a move to potentially increase his value, allowing possible suitors to inspect his performance.
The midfield will be composed of Romulo, Marco Parolo, Lucas Leiva, Milan Badelj, and Senad Lulic. It will be interesting to see three midfielders of similar traits and qualities in action side-by-side.
In attack, Joaquin Correa and Ciro Immobile will lead the lines. One on top form, the other off, last year’s capocannoniere will be hoping to score in todays match.
BOLOGNA (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Mbaye, Danilo, Lyanco, Dijks; Dzemaili, Pulgar; Orsolini, Soriano, Sansone; Palacio.
