After completing the signing of Bobby Adekanye, Lazio continue to look for new names to strengthen their attack. As reported by Radiosei, in the last hours the most interesting track is the one that leads to Taiwo Awoniyi. Awoniyi is Nigerian and born in 1997; he is a striker with good technique, rapid and powerful on the physical plane. He is also owned by Liverpool but so far he has never played for the first team
For several years he has been loaned out between Germany, Holland and Belgium, and in his last experience in Jupiter League with Mouscron he gave his best: from January he scored 11 goals in 16 appearances, attracting attention not only of the Biancocelesti but also of Schalke 04 and Galatasaray.
Awoniyi’s contract with the Reds expires in 2022 and he is valued at 6 million euros. Lazio are watching him carefully; in recent seasons Lazio have often made signings from both Liverpool and Belgium, the track that leads to Awoniyi for this reason seems viable.
