Earlier this afternoon, Claudio Lotito, Igli Tare, and Simone Inzaghi had a meeting at the Formello training grounds. This occurred after the friendly match that took place between Lazio and the city of Rocca di Papa, in which Lazio won 10-0 in front of 5000 fans. The main point of discussion surrounded the future of the manager, which has been in the air as a result of Massimiliano Allegri’s departure from Juventus. The Old Lady continues to be on the hunt to replace him and many have suggested that the 43-year-old is a target that is desired by the Bianconeri management.
Following a two hour meeting, Lotito has made his intentions clear as day and night. With the goal of finding an agreement with the Italian that will keep him in Rome, the President is said to have made a two-part proposal. The first, an extension of Inzaghi’s current contract – which is set to expire in 2020 – and the second, an adjustment of his wages. However, he can only offer so much: the final decision is said to come down to Inzaghi himself, who is uncertain on the situation; he wants more time to decide his future. Lazio or beyond, we will soon find out if Le Aquile will be under different guidance come pre-season training.
