Milan Badelj heading for Lazio exit as West Ham and Bordeaux circle

Lazio signed Croatian midfielder Milan Badelj on a free transfer from Fiorentina last summer. The central-midfielder, who was a part of Croatia’s impressive squad at the World Cup in Russia last year, has failed to impress in Biancocelesti however and could be heading for the exit as soon as this summer.

According to what has been reported by La Gazzetta della Sport, Badelj’s lack of game-time and unimpressive performances have led Lazio to consider his sale and, from what has been reported, Ligue 1 side Bordeaux appear to be frontrunners for his signature. However, there are also noises coming from England about the Croat; with West Ham and Aston Villa reportedly considering a purchase.

With the bond already existing between West Ham and Lazio, further cemented with Felipe Anderson’s transfer last summer, it is not too much of a stretch to picture Badelj signing for the Hammers but, as aforementioned, Bordeaux remain favourites.
