Lazio set to negotiate for Genoa’s Biraschi

Genoa’s Davide Biraschi is a footballer that has been closely watched by Lazio over the past year. With interest dating back as far as the summer of 2018, it is without question that the Biancocelesti would like to secure the 24-year-old Italian’s services.

Born in Rome, Biraschi made 36 appearances in all competitions for the Rossoblu this season. Playing as a center back or right back, he was a key component in the side who was respected by each of the three managers they had this season (Davide Ballardini, Ivan Juric, Cesare Prandelli). At the peak of his career and a fan of the Biancocelesti, the time may be now or never for his arrival to Lazio.

As collected exclusively by the staff of Italian outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi, Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare are ready to negotiate with Grifone President Enrico Preziosi for the defender. Due to the excellent relationship between the clubs, a deal could be struck, but the main problem – as per usual – is each parties estimation of the player. Lazio value Birachi at 7 to 8 million euros, while Genoa around 10 million euros – a discrepancy that comes as a result of the contract extension the defender signed last summer (until 30.06.2022). If an agreement is able to be determined, Le Aquile may have found their first reinforcement for the 2019/20 season.
