Adam Marusic: Conte wants Lazio defender at Inter

Antonio Conte has taken over as head coach of Inter Milan and is already looking for the reinforcements to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season. According to what has been reported by Tuttosport, Conte has identified two potential signings for the right flank to feature at a right wing-back role in Conte’s typical three-at-the-back formation. One of the targets is Lazio man Adam Marusic, whilst the other is a long-time Lazio target Manuel Lazzari.

Marusic has had an interesting season with Lazio; coming under fire for his inconsistency whilst dazzling fans with the odd strong performance. If Lazio are offered enough, probably a fee in the region of €15m, Marusic could be departing the club – giving the Biancocelesti funds to reinvest in other parts of the side.

Lazio are rumoured to be considering the permanent purchase of Genoa’s Romulo; who spent the second half of the season on loan at Simone Inzaghi’s side.
