Just a year after he left Juventus to join PSG, experienced Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is once again looking for a new club. The Juventus icon has spent a successful year in France, winning Ligue 1 with PSG. However, a return to Italy looks to be on the cards and many Lazio fans have been calling for the veteran to spend a year in Rome with the Biancocelesti. After posting an image on Instagram, the comments were bombarded by Laziale calling for Buffon to join.
Speaking to CittaCeleste, Buffon’s agent, Silvano Martina, has revealed more about Buffon’s intentions, keeping the door open for a move to Lazio.
“Gigi will not stop playing, today he met the PSG and we decided that separating us was the right solution. Now my client has told me that he wants to take two days of time and tranquility to reflect with his family on his future.
“After the announcement of the farewell I was bombarded with phone calls, but still there is no decision. I would like an interest. Besides, of course, Juve, Gigi has Carrarese, Genoa and Lazio in its heart. He has always expressed his appreciation, but the Biancoceleste club already has an excellent goalkeeper like Strakosha in that role.”
