Lazio have been linked with a move to Torino midfielder Daniele Baselli in recent days; the 27-year-old touted as a potential replacement for the likes of Milan Badelj and Valon Berisha – two central midfielders who signed last summer but are promptly being linked with departures from Rome already.
However, the race for Baselli will not be easy as LaLazioSiamoNoi report that Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli are also extremely interested in Baselli and are prepared to offer two players in an exchange, Mario Rui (another target of Lazio) and Verdi, to try and secure the player ahead of their competitors.
If it was a two horse race between Napoli and Lazio, the Neapolitan’s have the pulling and financial power to pip Lazio to the signing.
