Lazio have been strongly linked with a move for Malaga’s winger Jony in the past week. Reports from CittaCeleste earlier this week suggested that a deal was in progress and close to completion.
However, quotes taken via CittaCeleste suggest that things might not be as easy for Lazio as were first thought, with the player saying “It is true that Lazio want me, but there are also other clubs interested in me in La Liga.”
Despite this, Lazio are still confident of getting the deal wrapped up – with a €1.5m per season contract prepared for the winger, who could cost between €6m and €10m.
