It is fair to say that Dutch winger Ricardo Kishna did not have the best of loan spells with Dutch side ADO Den Haag. Kishna, who has spent two years on loan in The Hague, has not played a professional match of football since September 2017, when he suffered a horrible injury against Ajax.
Kishna’s injury put him out for his first season on loan before extending his loan deal last summer but, unfortunately, missing out on playing first team football after suffering yet another injury.
Speaking to Voetbal International, Den Haag coach Alfons Groenendijk has said that “We hope everything works out for the best, we are close to him. During training I saw his class again in some moments but making the final step has been the most difficult part – and he was never available for the games.”
Groenendijk then added that “For Ricardo it was hard to deal with the issue. As a guide for the younger boys in the team I personally also tried to support him, but gradually the situation became increasingly difficult for him from a mental point of view. He wanted to play but he could never do it.”
Kishna is set to return to Lazio at the start of July and has a contract expiring with the Serie A side in 2020.
