According to La Repubblica today, Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham are both keen to sign Lazio’s starting goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha. The 24-year-old Albanian came up through Lazio’s youth system in 2014, and since the 2016/17 season has been a starter for the Biancocelesti.

This season Strakosha has played over 3500 minutes in all competitions, keeping 13 clean sheets and conceding 41 goals, with him being contracted to Lazio until 30th June 2022, and having an estimated market value of €20m. The interest is understandable for both the North London clubs, with Arsenal’s previous starter Petr Cech retiring, and Tottenham’s Michel Vorm not signing a new contract. The Biancocelesti are keen to keep Strakosha due to his strong performances and importance to the team’s defence.
