Riza Durmisi has been heavily linked with a move away from Lazio this summer; just a year after joining the Biancocelesti from La Liga side Real Betis. Speaking to bold-dk, Durmisi clarified his future, stating his intent to stay in Rome with Lazio and fight for a place in the starting XI:
“I have no intention of leaving Rome, I signed a five-year contract and this shows that a great club like Lazio believe in me. I will repay the trust by making myself always ready, even while playing less. I’m sure my time is coming, I will have to prove I deserve it. Either fight or find another sport.
“Serie A is much more tactical and requires a longer period of adaptation, it takes time to get to know the championship. Especially if you play in a team that is very tactically prepared like Lazio.”
