According to what has been reported by LaLazioSiamoNoi this morning, Lazio have identified Fenerbahce’s Brazilian midfielder Jailson as a potential replacement for Croatian midfielder Milan Badelj. Badelj signed on a free transfer from Fiorentina last summer but has struggled to impress Simone Inzaghi and has been linked away from the club; with Bordeaux and West Ham reportedly amongst the frontrunners for his signature.
Lazio, therefore, would like to sign Fenerbahce’s 23-year-old defensive midfielder; as they look to build for the future and hopefully give Lucas Leiva a pupil to work with. The former Gremio midfielder has impressed during his spell in Turkey and Igli Tare is reportedly keen on bringing him to the Italian capital.
LLSN suggest that Lazio are to submit a €12m bid for the Brazilian; which Fenerbahce could accept and lead to Lazio making their first signing of the summer – however, the Biancocelesti will likely want to ensure Badelj’s departure before adding yet another midfielder to their expansive list of central midfielders already on the roster.
