Another name that was mentioned last summer has returned to the fray. Stefan Lainer, who plays for Austrian side RB Salzburg, was a target of the Biancocelesti last season but, to Lazio’s dismay, Salzburg blocked the deal and were not keen on releasing their right-back.
Lazio are looking at Lainer as a potential alternative to Manuel Lazzari and Matteo Darmian, who are considered to be two of Lazio’s primary targets for the right-back/right wing-back position.
According to what has been reported by Radiosei, Salzburg are more open to discussing a deal with Lazio this summer and Lainer could be an important coup if the Biancocelesti decide not to permanently purchase Romulo from Genoa.
