Pavel Nedved wanted Simone Inzaghi as Juventus manager
According to what has been told to Radiosei by agent Franco Zavaglia, Simone Inzaghi was Pavel Nedved’s first choice to replace Massimiliano Allegri as the head coach at Juventus. This was reported at the time as Inzaghi was considered amongst the frontrunners for the role but Zavaglia states that the rest of the Juve management, including president Andrea Agnelli, would have vetoed Nedved’s choice in favour of Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri.
Sarri’s appointment at Juventus is expected to come today and Simone Inzaghi has already signed a contract extension with Lazio; with Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare making promises to the coach in order to keep him in the Italian capital.
