Lazio midfielder Milan Badelj looks to have played his only and final season as part of the Biancocelesti squad and a number of teams are chasing him; just one year after the Croatian international left Fiorentina on a free transfer to move to the Italian capital.
Bordeaux and Fenerbahce were considered to be two of the leading horses in the race for Badelj; with minor interest from the Premier League in addition. Now, the Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Russian side Zenit St Petersburg have joined the race for the Croatian.
Lazio will profit from Badelj’s purchase and funds obtained from Badelj’s sale could be reinvested into weaker parts of the squad.
