Lazio defender Wallace could well be heading for the exit this summer; after another disappointing season has led the Biancocelesti management to question whether or not the Brazilian has done enough to earn a place in the team still. Reports in the past few weeks have linked Sporting Braga defender Bruno Viana, who shares an agent with Wallace, to Lazio; but only in the case that Jorge Mendes was able to shift Wallace on to another club prior.
Speaking to GloboEsporte, Wallace confirmed that he had been in contact with Brazilian side Flamengo, saying “It was just a phone call, but they already told me what my salary would be. I am always open to new proposals, especially when it comes to Flamengo.”
However, he then added that “Since I have a two-year contract with Lazio, the priority is to stay in Rome. I can’t say if I’ll go back to Brazil or stay in Italy, today’s football is in constant motion. My entourage and I have to work with what we have in hand, which is currently the two-year contract with Lazio. I leave everything in the hands of my agents, I trust them.”
