Lazio’s Director of Sports Igli Tare may approach Real Madrid for young star Dani Ceballos, according to Cittaceleste.it. The 22-year-old Spaniard heavily impressed for Spain against Italy last night in their 3-1 defeat in the Under-21 European Championship, breaking the deadlock with a wonder strike from outside the box. However, Ceballos is not considered part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans in the Spanish capital, and so is likely to leave the club this summer, with Lazio being one of the clubs interested in him.
Adding to this story is Claudio Lotito’s words to La Gazzetta dello Sport today, in which he confirmed that Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic can leave the Biancocelesti this summer if he chooses. Considering that Lotito wants an offer of at least €100m for the player, it gives Lazio the chance to compete with other clubs for Ceballos’ signature.
