Reports from Gianluca di Marzio yesterday suggested that Lazio defender Wallace was nearing a loan move to Brazilian side Flamengo. However, Benjamin Back, a journalist from Fox Sports Brazil, has denied these rumours.
The reports suggest that, upon contacting a representative from Flamengo, Back was told that there has been no communication between Flamengo and Lazio over the centre-back’s future.
The same reports suggest that the Brazilian club instead favour a move for either AS Monaco centre-back Jemerson, or AC Milan’s Zapata. Therefore, for now, Wallace is set to stay in Rome.
