Andre Schurrle: Lazio want Dortmund winger on loan

According to what has been reported by Il Messaggero this morning, Lazio have returned to the trail of Borussia Dortmund winger Andre Schurrle. Schurrle, who spent last season on loan with Premier League side Fulham, has been a target of Lazio for some time but this could be the window where the Biancocelesti finally pounce.

The Italian newspaper writes that Lazio would ideally like to loan the player from the Bundesliga side, yet the Black and Yellows are more set on letting him leave permanently. If this was the case, the German outfit would request a fee of around €12m for Schurrle – and there is a reported belief around the Italian capital that the winger could follow in the footsteps of Miroslav Klose; the forward reigniting his career upon moving to Lazio from Germany.

Schurrle scored six times in 24 league games for Fulham last season, despite the fact that the West London club were relegated and sent back down into the EFL Championship.
