Negotiations between Santos and Lazio to bring Gustavo Cipriano to Rome are progressing smoothly. A profile greatly appreciated for over a year now, according to the latest reports, Igli Tare and the Biancocelesti are said to have formulated a new proposal for the 18-year-old defender. This is a two year loan, with the possibility of acquiring the player at the end for around €750 thousand.
However, after two proposals were declined last summer, rumours from South America state that the term of the loan is still an issue: Santos want to reduce it to solely one season. The only detail to be agreed upon, this negotiation finally seems to be approaching its conclusion.
In possession of a European passport, the agreement with the player has already been obtained. This is also an important detail, as he would not be filling a EU spot in the team, leaving room for another acquisition this summer.
