Lazio’s chase for Manuel Lazzari of SPAL reportedly does not require the deal for Alessandro Murgia to go through, according to Corriere dello Sport. Murgia has impressed in Ferrara, and SPAL are looking to make his loan move permanent, and some considered Lazio’s interest in Lazzari key in this deal, but it seems like the two transfers are considered separate affairs. Murgia could be purchased by Gli Estensi for €5m, however, Igli Tare would likely include a buyback clause of around €6m, giving SPAL a slightly safer investment into the 22-year-old.
Lazzari continues to be the name preferred by Simone Inzaghi to strengthen the midfield. The €15m asked for by SPAL President Mattioli is a figured considered too high by the Biancocelesti, and Tare aims to lower the price by using the will of the player. Other clubs are interested in him, including Fiorentina, and so Tare may have to accept the price if the player is to move to the capital. Matteo Darmian has also been contacted, with Valencia also looking at the player, with Manchester United asking for a fee of around €8m. Finally, Christian Fassnacht of Young Boys continues to impress, however, the Swiss side are asking for €7-8m.
