Felipe Caicedo: Lazio set price-tag at €9m

Felipe Caicedo’s time in Rome looks to be coming to an end. Caicedo joined Lazio for around €2.5m in 2017, signing a three-year contract, but now appears to be on the list of players to sell this summer. Lazio’s squad is bloated and Caicedo’s sacrifice will allow the club to source and sign a more-effective vice-Immobile.

This is not to say that Caicedo did not have a good season, as it was a vast improvement over last season, but the Ecuadorian’s requests for a contract renewal have been reportedly denied by Igli Tare and Claudio Lotito; suggesting their willingness to part ways with him for a fee this summer rather than losing him at zero-cost in a years time.

According to what has been reported by LaLazioSiamoNoi, Lazio have set the price-tag for Felipe Caicedo at around €9m – with clubs from Turkey, the UAE and China all reportedly interested; Chinese club Dalian Yifang actually launching a reported bid for him in February before the Derby della Capitale against Roma.
