Milinkovic-Savic ‘one step away’ from PSG move

According to what has been reported by Serbian outlet Bilicsport, Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is just ‘one step away’ from completing a move to join Ligue 1 giants PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain were one of the teams interested in signing Lazio’s Serbian midfielder last summer but, eventually, the player stayed in Rome and helped Lazio lift the Coppa Italia in the 2018/19 season – scoring the opening goal in the final against Atalanta.

Now, after Juventus reportedly pulled out of the race to focus on Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, Bilicsport claim that PSG have accelerated for the player and that Lotito has decided to accept an improved offer from the French side for the midfielder.

These funds, if the deal goes through, can be re-invested in a number of areas of the squad; hopefully giving the side more balance as they prepare to try and mount a challenge for Champions League qualification in the upcoming Serie A season.
