Among those present in Siena to receive the Briglia d’Oro 2019 was Spal manager Leonardo Semplici who spoke to the press about Manuel Lazzari, Andrea Petagna, and Mohamed Fares, amongst other things.
“Lazzari is a player who has grown so much; he has even been called up to the National team by Roberto Mancini. He has completed an important path here at Spal and I hope he can achieve an even better path than he did with us in the future.”
“When an attacker like Petagna scores 16 goals, it’s normal for him to attract more important suitors. We will try to have a smart but ideal market with our budget; with the ideas that we have put in place, we will try to attain our goal [remaining in the Serie A].”
“As a footballer, Fares grew up, but I hope he can stay with us because he still has further room for improvement.”
