Denis Vavro: FC Copenhagen Defender Close to Joining Lazio

Denis Vavro is very close to becoming a Lazio player, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

After liking several comments regarding his future in Rome on Instagram, yesterday, a representative of the Biancocelesti is said to have traveled to Denmark to set the foundation of the deal which is now close to coming to a conclusion. The offer presented was €9 million euros + €1 million in bonuses, a bid that is said to satisfy both parties, despite the Danish club having yet to find a replacement.

Three days ago, The Laziali reported that this week would be decisive in the club’s attempt to sign the player. As the Slovakian international is expected to be in Copenhagen on Friday to take his pre-season medicals, this could prove to be the ideal occasion to meet the club and make a decision regarding his future. Following the weekend, the details will become more clear, but Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare are hoping to wrap up the deal for the 23-year old by next week the latest.

The last obstacle to overcome was Copenhagen’s demand for Vavro, which until yesterday, did not drop from €12 million euros; the Danish club decided to lower its requests by around €2 million to satisfy Lazio due to his desire to join the club.

Currently, Le Aquile are ahead of other suitors in Europe, but Roma and Atalanta have also shown interest in the center-back. Therefore, this seems to be a primary reason for attempting to sign the player as quickly as possible.
