Lazio are making important steps towards securing the services of FC Copenhagen and Slovakian international defender Denis Vavro. As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio during Calciomercato L’Originale on Sky Sport yesterday, the Biancocelesti have found an agreement with the Danish club for a fee of €9 million + €1 million in bonuses for the 23-year-old. The deal should be completed within the next few days, early next week the latest as the club tries to find a replacement.
In terms of his contract, there have been two reports. The first states that Vavro will be signing a four-year deal worth €1.5 million per season, while the second states a five-year deal worth €1.2 million per season. In either situation, Igli Tare and Claudio Lotito have confirmed that he is the one that they have chosen to reinforce their backline; it looks as if they used the player’s desire to come to Rome and the Serie A to their advantage.
