According to what has been reported by Radiosei, Lazio have joined the race to sign Empoli midfielder Ismael Bennacer. Bennacer, who came through the youth system of Premier League giants Arsenal, has been linked heavily with a move to either Fiorentina or AC Milan so far this summer but now it appears Lazio too have joined the race.
However, if Lazio wish to pursue Bennacer, they must first sort out some of the overcrowding within the centre of midfield. With Alessandro Murgia set to join SPAL as part of the deal to bring Manuel Lazzari to Rome, it is now down to eliminating the likes of Milan Badelj and Valon Berisha from the roster – if the club wish to sign any more central midfielders.
