Simone Palombi has transfered to US Cremonese on loan. After signing a contract a few days ago, the club have now officially announced the signing of Lazio’s 23-year-old attacker.
“U.S. Cremonese announces that it has acquired, from Lazio, the sports performance of Simone Palombi on a temporary basis with a right of redemption.
Born in Tivoli on April 23, 1996, the striker grew up with Lazio and made his Serie A debut in 2017 in a match against Spal. Always with the Biancocelesti jersey, he has collected 2 appearances in the Europa League.
After the experiences in the Serie B already with Ternana and Salernitana, last season he won Serie A promotion with Lecce, playing in 29 matches and scoring 8 goals.
The footballer today underwent medical examinations at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome.”
It is said the Cremonese strongly supported this acquisition; in fact, Sporting Director Nereo Bonato started enquiring about Palombi as early as the first day after the end of the 2018/19 Serie B season.
