Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: the summer of Lazio’s prized possession

The future of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic continues to remain unclear. In what feels like a soap opera, as it stands, there are no obvious signs in the transfer market which show where the Lazio player will be headed. As a result, the summer for the Serbian international midfielder and calcio fans will remain a mystery…

As reported by Radiosei, the players and management of Lazio are scheduled to have a gathering after everyone on the team has taken their medicals, but before they depart for Auronzo Di Cadore. At the moment the 24-year-old will be there and nothing shows different. However, as of late, interest (and of course new reports) for Milinkovic-Savic has skyrocketed: PSG and Manchester United are said to be battling it out for him, while Juventus looms.

The midfielder’s agent is expected to talk with Sporting Director Igli Tare and President Claudio Lotito about his future; the Albanian has already denied meetings with Manchester United on his London trip, yet a move could happen depending what happens with Europe’s top players. The Italian values the Serbian midfielder very highly, so until an offer in his range has been sent his way, it seems the highly touted player will start preseason (and the 2019/20 season) with the Biancocelesti.
