Matteo Materazzi, Stefan Radu’s agent, made an Instagram post this morning which seems to confirm the Number 26 will remain with the Biancocelesti next season. Here are his words:
“In the last months of last season you tried several times to clench your teeth, but sometimes you failed. The pain out-weighted your great desire to wear the number 26 shirt. Soon you will come back to Mr. Inzaghi, you will fight again for your cause, your reason for professional life: LAZIO”.
After almost twelve seasons together, it seemed that Radu and Lazio were finally going down different paths, with the defender seeming to accept his move away from the Roman club despite his consistent loyalty to the Biancocelesti. However, as recently reported, it seems that his discussions with Igli Tare and Simone Inzaghi have been successful and tomorrow he will have his pre-season medical examinations, before his departure to Auronzo di Cadore to join the team in the ritiro there.
