According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio have enquired about the availability of Gustavo Gómez. Previously owned by Milan, the Paraguay international spent the last half of the 2018/19 season in the Brazilian Série A with Palmeiras. Back in June, it was cofirmed by Gómez’s agent that Palmeiras had decided to redeem the player from the Italian side for a total of €6 million (€1.5m just on the loan + an additional €4.5m from the club to make the move permanent). 12 appearances in all competitions, initial talks are said to have occured, with the rumours being strengthened by South American journalists: Wilson Gonzàlez of Paraguayan radio station ABC Cardinal 730 AM claims that the Biancocelesti have made a €10 million offer for the defender.
