According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s correspondent Stefano Cieri, Mateja Kezman – the agent of Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – is en route to England to define the details of the Serbian midfielders move to Manchester United. Negotiations are said to have picked up over the last few days and, in fact, the deal is reportedly close to approaching its conclusion. Both sides have already given the go ahead for the transfer. As it stands, €75 million + €5 in bonuses represents the concrete offer which satisfies both parties.
However, the sale of Paul Pogba to Real Madrid first needs to occur before anything can proceed with ease. This is because Milinkovic-Savic has been chosen by the Red Devils to replace the French international. This will unlock the deal and seeing as Los Blancos want to sell Gareth Bale (as made evident by manager Zinedine Zidane in multiple press conferences), the money they receive from his sale will likely be put towards acquiring the services of Pogba.
