After securing five victories from five matches at Auronzo di Cadore, Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio are ready for the European challenges that lie ahead. Scoring 44 goals and conceding just twice in Italy, they are in the best form they have had in preseason in quite some time.
Starting in England, on 2 August, they will face off against Premier League side Bournemouth (8.45 pm). They will then travel to Germany to play newly-promoted Bundesliga side Paderborn on 3 August (4.00 pm). Following this, they will begin their retreat in Marienfeld for about a week, before heading to Spain. As it stands, the match against Celta Vigo on 10 August is said to be their final preseason match. However, it may not be over after this match. According to Radiosei, the Biancocelesti are working to organize another match for 17/18 August – around a week away from the start of the Serie A campaign.
