Lazio’s Milan Badelj has joined Serie A side Fiorentina on loan ahead of the 2019/20 season. After reporting that the Croatian 30-year-old midfielder was close to returning to the side just a few days ago – after just a single season in Rome – the Biancocelesti and Viola announced the officialty of the transfer in a statement on their social media profiles.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, his transfer will be a loan at – €1 million – with a right of redemption set at €4 million. Failing to adapt to Simone Inzaghi style of play, Badelj will be hoping to rebound this year to prove his worth; it is worth mentioning that, unless he picks up an injury, he will be a starter for Fiorentina and that the club will likely pay the redemption clause.
