In the past few weeks, Lazio defender Wallace has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers. This is, in part, down to the links between Wallace’s agent Jorge Mendes and the English club; the super-agent also helping facilitate the move of former Lazio duo Pedro Neto and Bruno Jordao to the Midlands club this summer. However, a spanner has been thrown in the works of Wallace’s Lazio exit: Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.
According to various reports from the English press, Wolves have turned their attention to Rugani as a potential alternative to Wallace and are looking into the possibility of bringing in Juve’s Italian centre-back on loan with an option or obligation to purchase the player on a permanent basis.
