Wallace between Monaco and Benfica

Jorge Mendes was unsuccessful in completing a deal that would have brought Lazio’s Wallace to Wolverhampton Wanderers; the possibility of the potential move faded away with the closure of the Premier League transfer window. As a result, the super-agent will now have to work to find a new destination for the defender who has officially been left out of the future plans of Biancocelesti manager Simone Inzaghi. After three seasons failing to live up to expectations in Rome, as underlined by Il Tempo, his future could lie in France or Portugal. This would be with Monaco or Benfica, who unsurprisingly have excellent relationships with Mendes. An agreement will be sought to be found in the coming days, but no surprises or any other last-minute bids by clubs can be excluded – until September 2nd, anything can happen.
