According to what has been reported by Radiosei this morning, Lazio continue their hunt for an additional striker and the latest rumours suggest that Monaco’s Italian starlet Pietro Pellegri is the latest on the Biancocelesti shopping list.
Pellegri, born in Genoa in 2001, came through the Genoa youth system before moving to Monaco in 2018 for a reported fee of 25 million euros, making him the second most expensive 16-year-old of all time. However, an injury-ridden time with the Ligue 1 side, who are struggling too, has led reports to suggest the forward would like to return to Italy.
Likely to be a high cost operation, this move seems unlikely for Lazio but it cannot be ruled out; especially not int he case of any late departures from the squad between now and the end of the transfer window.
