Riza Durmisi Reportedly Agrees Terms With Fenerbahce

Riza Durmisi‘s name continues to circle in Turkey.

Originally, according to Turkish website Tribun Dergi, the Danish international had come to agree to terms with Beşiktaş. However, the deal was far from being completed because Lazio still had to negotiate a transfer fee with the Black Eagles. As a result, Beşiktaş signed Tyler Boyd and Pedro Rebocho, making the deal for the Biancocelesti player very unlikely.

Now, as reported by Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik, the 25-year-old is said to have attracted heavy interest from one of Beşiktaş’ rivals. This club, being Fenerbahçe, who are also said to have found an agreement with the player.

After the injury to Hasan Ali Kaldırım, the Turkish side have been on the look for a player for the left flank. Despite Aleksandar Kolarov being the first option, they hit a roadblock in reaching an agreement with Roma for the Serbian. This resulted in them turning to the former Real Betis man.

What remains to be solved is the agreement with Lazio. Following the one-year loan, Simone Inzaghi’s side would like to insert an option to buy for the player at around €4 million. Arriving in Rome last summer for €7 million, Durmisi made just 19 appearances, failing to convince the Italian club.
