Official: Lazio Loan Wallace to S.C. Braga

Lazio’s Wallace has joined Primeira Liga side Braga on loan for the 2019/20 season. After failing to impress and obtain trust from management, the Brazilian defender had been excluded from the Biancocelesti’s Serie A squad list ahead of this campaign. For this reason, it was just a matter of time until he was offloaded; a return back to the Portuguese club may be best for the now 24-year-old if he is to obtain regular playing time and bounce back to form. Below, the official statement.

“SC Braga announces that it has reached an agreement with S.S. Lazio for the transfer of Wallace, who will represent the Gverreiros on loan for one year.

The Brazilian returns to Braga – where he was at the start of the 2014/15 season – having subsequently moved to AS Monaco, where he picked up 56 games and scored two goals in two seasons.

Following this, he transferred to S.S. Lazio, where he has 67 official games for them and two more goals. The experience accumulated in the prestigious championships of France and Italy, as well as in the European events, make Wallace an added value to the squad led by Ricardo Sá Pinto.”
