A 3-1 victory obtained at home and a 1-0 away victory achieved against Cosenza. The start of the 2019/20 edition of the Serie B could not be going any better for Salernitana. Speaking to reporters, the president of Lazio and Salernitana, Claudio Lotito, spoke about the start of the season in addition to Granata manager Gian Piero Ventura and his relationship with the supporters.

“I don’t have to go into the Curva at the stadium, I just have to set up a team. But it’s not like I have a magic wand. The enthusiasm is legitimate and the results of these two first matches of the Serie B campaign justify it. Personally, I can do nothing but offer practical support and ideas. We all have to understand, unfortunately, that often the results on the field do not match the will of the president.”

“I hope we have found the right balance through quality staff, a quality coach, and especially a quality organization. This is a continuous job, at any time of day. And we hope that now the quality results will arrive too.”

“In Salerno the majority of the fans are with the club.”

“Gian Piero Ventura? We have a good relationship with him, one of esteem and consideration. Ventura is one that wants to get positive results and keep the enthusiasm of the fans.”

“Salernitana is strong and will fly high. They are autonomous and there is no synergy with Lazio.”
