Speaking to Sky Sport, manager Simone Inzaghi discussed Lazio’s defeat to Cluj. After going up 1-0, they lost 2-1, similar to the match against Spal in Matchday 3 of the Serie A. Next, the Biancocelesti will play Parma this Sunday and Inter afterwards at the San Siro – two matches in which Laziali and management will expect all six points.

“Certainly, as often as it happens, we deserved something more today. I’m sorry for this loss, especially after the first half we had. I am convinced that we will move on to the next stage of the UEFA Europa League but we must always believe in the things we do. We should have closed the game after scoring the first goal. Then, that penalty in which the referee blew for would have never occurred. The second half? We had to replicate what we did in the first part of the game but we didn’t succeed. Now we need to keep our heads high, between two and a half days we will play an important match against Parma. Sunday night we must have a great game. We will have to be good at addressing the poor episodes on our part… I am once again sorry for these two defeats: we had to be more concrete, both in Ferrara and here.”
