Speaking to the press at the announcement of the new partnership between Lazio and Radio Italia, club president Claudio Lotito gave his last word on the dispute that emerged between Simone Inzaghi and Ciro Immobile in the match against Parma; where the Italian forward appeared frustrated at being substituted.
“Ciro is a martyr, he was not at his best and the coach took him off to preserve it in view of the match against Inter,” Lotito said, before also stating: “I hope that the team becomes aware of its own means and that it shows humility and team spirit. Our technical rate allows us to compare ourselves to everyone. The team is more competitive than last year because we didn’t sell anyone important.”
