Speaking to the press yesterday ahead of tonight’s game between Inter Milan and Lazio at San Siro, Nerazzurri head coach Antonio Conte said the following:
“The Biancocelesti are a challenging obstacle, one of the most difficult since the start of the season. A team with its own identity that has been working for several years with Simone Inzaghi, a very good coach perhaps underestimated. We will have to be careful because the opponent is strong and has improved over the years, testifying to the fact that there is a great project. We need to know that tomorrow will be a complicated match and it will take everyone’s push.
“We have to think game after game. Let’s focus on today; tomorrow is uncertain. Tomorrow will be difficult. They have always been protagonists in recent years and have won the Italian Cup as a testament to the work done by the company and the coach. For us it is another verification. It is inevitable that if we enter the field with our heads in the praises taken in the derby, it means that we have not understood anything of what we have to do and is waiting for us. Everything must be reset as soon as possible and understand that Lazio is waiting for us and we will have to give important performances.”
