Joaquin Correa Agrees Lazio Contract Renewal: The Details

Joaquin Correa will not take the field for Lazio’s UEFA Europa League clash today against Rennes. This is a result of a minor injury picked up in the last match against Genoa. However, he has kept busy these past few days: the Argentine has reportedly sorted out a contract extension with the club. This will see him play in the Biancocelesti colors for several years to come – until 2024 to be exact.

According to Radiosei, this new agreement will see him make €2.2 million + bonuses per year, reaching the figure currently being made by veteran midfielder Lucas Leiva. Only Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (€3 million + bonuses) will be making more than him at the club.

Signed in the presence of his agent, Alessandro Lucci, he will also have an €80 million release clause included in his contract. The work initiated in August has now come to a conclusion. Both parties are satisfied with only the official statement pending.
