Lazio working on Luis Alberto contract renewal

According to Radiosei, Lazio are hard at work in trying to extend Luis Alberto’s contract.

One of the club’s most valuable assets, the Spanish Magician’s current deal expires in 2022 and he currently makes €1.8 million + bonuses per year. This is the least out of all the big stars in the team and most definitely the main talking point.

Meetings were held between management and the footballer in August and there is reported to be a mutual desire to continue negotiations in the coming months; a productive season could see Luis Alberto make up to double his current wage.

Felipe Caicedo’s renewal was recently announced (until 2024), while rumors have started to emerge regarding both Joaquin Correa and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (also until 2024). Next on Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare’s list is said to be the midfield maestro who was recently called to the Spain National Team for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifiers.

This is a result of a terrific start to the 2019/20 campaign in which he has one goal and five assists (in seven matches) between the Serie A and UEFA Europa League.
