Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: Lazio extend Serbian’s contract

According to both Corriere dello Sport and Radiosei, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has signed a contract extension at Lazio for another year, until 2024.

The Serbian’s third extension within two and half years, this was completed under the radar: the Biancocelesti deposited his contract to the league this past summer.

This goes to show how dedicated Claudio Lotito, Simone Inzaghi, Igli Tare, and the rest of management were to keeping hold of their prized assets. No matter the request, they were always keen on keeping him in Rome.

No change was made in regards to his salary (he will continue to make €3 million + bonuses ), the club’s goal was to solely add an additional year to his contract. Therefore, in the current Lazio squad, only Ciro Immobile will be making more than him due to the higher fixed part of his salary.

Felipe Caicedo’s renewal was recently announced (until 2024), while rumors have started to emerge regarding both Joaquin Correa and Luis Alberto (also until 2024). Next on Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare’s list is said to be the Sergeant who was recently called to the Serbian National Team for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifiers.

So far this 2019/20 campaign, he has two goals and four assists (in eight matches) between the Serie A and UEFA Europa League.
